Salah in Islam is the second pillar of the religion and the daily meeting between a servant and his Lord, five times a day. This page gathers all our articles on salah in one place, built only on the Quran and authentic hadith, each with the Arabic text, its source, its grade and what it means for us today.
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:
“Do you think that if there were a river at the door of one of you, and he bathed in it five times every day, any dirt would remain on him?” They said, “No dirt at all would remain on him.” He said, “That is the example of the five prayers, with which Allah wipes out sins.”
