After a hard days work, there’s nothing better than crawling up to a comfy bed isn’t it? But before you doze off into dreamland, I’d like to share the three surahs to recite before going to bed. Don’t worry, the surahs are short and I’d like to think that many of us have committed these surahs to memory.
But first, lets take a look at the hadith concerning this topic.
The hadith for surahs to recite before going to bed
Some people address the three surahs as the Three Quls due to the starting verses of each surahs. It starts with surah al-Ikhlas proceeding after it is surah al-Falaq. The last recitation would be surah an-Nas.
These surahs are the surahs that protects the reciter from evil that is seen or from the unseen with the permission of Allah Subhana wa Ta’ala.
Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) went to bed every night, he used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting Surah al-Ikhlas, Surah al-Falaq and Surah an-Nas, and then rub his hands over whatever parts of his body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. He used to do that three times.

Conclusion about the surahs to recite before going to bed
Allah Subhana wa Ta’ala is the supreme protector. No harm happens without His permission. We as His slaves should always be humble and ask for His protection as Allah loves when we ask of Him. Even for the simplest of requests.
Lets integrate that in our lives and connect with Allah as much as we can. InsyaAllah, the closer we try to get close to Him, the closer He is to us.
