بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
The rewards of glorifying Allah, His unity and His greatness is equivalent to emancipating ten slaves and many more. As Muslims, we encourage practicing remembrance of Allah S.W.T throughout the day.
Dzikir itself means remembrance and there are many ways to go about it. It includes performing Salat, reading Quran, making supplications and reciting the abundance of adhkars from the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).
Let’s take a look at one of my favorite Dzikir with its accompanying authentic Hadith below.

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: ” من قَالَ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ فِي يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ كَانَتْ لَهُ عَدْلَ عَشْرِ رِقَابٍ وَكُتِبَتْ لَهُ مِائَةُ حَسَنَةٍ وَمُحِيَتْ عَنْهُ مِائَةُ سَيِّئَةٍ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ حِرْزًا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ يَوْمَهُ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ وَلَمْ يَأْتِ أَحَدٌ بِأَفْضَلَ مِمَّا جَاءَ بِهِ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ عَمِلَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُ “
Abu Hurairah reported God’s messenger as saying that if anyone says a hundred times in a day, “There is no god but God alone who has no partner, to whom dominion belongs, to whom praise is due, who is omnipotent”, he will have a reward equivalent to that for emancipating ten slaves, a hundred blessings recorded for him, a hundred evil deeds obliterated from him; it will be a protection for him from the devil all that day till evening, and no one will bring anything more excellent than he brings, except a man who has done more than he has.

According to the Hadith above there are five rewards blessed on you after you’ve recited “Lailahaillallahu wahdahu la sharikallah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu, wahuwa ‘ala kulli syaiin qodir“. One of them is akin to you emancipating ten slaves.
Now you may wonder what is so great about freeing a slave? Let us look at an authentic Hadith about it as below.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي غَسَّانَ، مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ابْنِ مَرْجَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ “ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُسْلِمَةً، أَعْتَقَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهُ عُضْوًا مِنَ النَّارِ، حَتَّى فَرْجَهُ بِفَرْجِهِ ”.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “If somebody manumits a Muslim slave, Allah will save from the Fire every part of his body for freeing the corresponding parts of the slave’s body, even his private parts will be saved from the Fire) because of freeing the slave’s private parts.”

As you now know, freeing a slave emancipates yourself from the Hell fire. That alone is a great reward and Allah is The Most Gracious that He adds on more rewards as told in the Hadith above. The only man better than a man who has recited a hundred times of the Dzikir above is a man who has recited it more.

There is no god but God alone who has no partner, to whom dominion belongs, to whom praise is due, who is omnipotent.

Conclusion About The Rewards of Glorifying Allah
Lets recap the rewards of reciting “Lailahaillallahu wahdahu la sharikallah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu, wahuwa ‘ala kulli syaiin qodir“.
1. It is akin to manumit ten Muslim slaves and whoever frees a slave Allah frees the person from the Hell fire.
2. A hundred blessings are written from the person.
3. A hundred evil deeds are written off from a person’s book of deeds.
4. Protection from the evils of the devil till evening.
5. No one can bring anything more excellent than a person deeds other than the one who has recited it more.
